Types of Collabs Explained

Inscend lets you post three kinds of collabs. Picking the right one saves you money and gets you the content you actually need.

4 minutes 3 collab types
In short "Job" pays creators money for posts on their own page. "Barter" pays with a free product instead of money. "UGC" pays creators to make a video or photo that you use in your own ads.
1

Job (Paid Campaign)

Use this when you want creators to post about your product on their own Instagram, and you're happy to pay in money.

  • You set a budget. Creators apply to work with you.
  • Money can be tied to how many views the post gets — you only pay for real reach.
  • Good for: getting your product seen by a creator's followers.
  • Post one from the Jobs menu → "Post Job".

2

Barter

"Barter" means trading, not money. You send the creator a free product. In return, they post about it.

  • No cash payout — just the product cost and shipping.
  • Good for: new brands who want reviews and posts without a big budget.
  • Post one from the Barter menu → "Post Barter Collab".
Word check: Think of "Barter" like trading — the creator gets your product, you get their post. No money changes hands.

UGC (User Generated Content)

Use this when you want raw video or photo content made by a creator, but you plan to run it as your own ad — the creator does not need to post it on their page at all.

  • You write a brief describing exactly what you want filmed.
  • The creator sends you the raw file. You use it however you like in your own marketing.
  • Good for: getting authentic-looking ad content without needing a big following.
  • Post one from the UGC menu → "Post UGC Campaign".

Not sure which to pick? If you want reach on the creator's page, choose Job. If you're on a tight budget, choose Barter. If you just need footage for your own ads, choose UGC.
